Diageo Philippines launches its post-consumer glass collection pilot initiative in the Philippines in line with its Society 2030: Spirit of Progress ESG action plan and bold ambition to pioneer grain-to-glass sustainability.
This is part of Diageo’s Society 2030: Spirit of Progress (SOP), the company’s 10-year Environment, Society and Governance (ESG) action plan to help create a more inclusive and sustainable world. The SOP priorities reflect the most material issues impacting Diageo’s company, people, brands, suppliers, and the community. These include promoting positive drinking, champion inclusion and diversity, and pioneer grain-to-glass sustainability.
Diageo will kick off its pilot collection drive in July within Taguig’s financial and lifestyle center, Bonifacio Global City (BGC), with seven collection sites located in De Jesus Oval, Essensa (21st Drive), Maridien (27th Drive), 10th corner 25th Streets, Burgos Circle, McKinley Hill Information Center, and near Landers BGC.
Consumers may stop by and donate their clean and empty food and beverage bottles to redeem special items. They would need to fill up their Diageo passport sticker cards with stickers, which can be claimed with a donation of at least five (5) clean and empty food and beverage glass bottles. Consumers can earn up to five (5) stickers per visit. For every 3rd, 5th, 8th and 10th sticker, the participating consumer will receive Diageo branded merchandise. A consumer who has at least one (1) clean and empty Diageo bottle in their donation of five (5) post-consumer bottles, will receive one (1) drink stub for that visit.
Remember, you can collect and deposit empty, clean food & beverage bottles will be accepted at the BEST collection centers in BGC, while non-F&B and returnable bottles are not accepted.
• Accepted F&B bottles: wine, distilled spirits (including Diageo bottles), ketchup, vinegar, soy sauce, mayonnaise, etc.
• Not accepted: non-F&B bottle containers (e.g. cosmetic glass containers, drink glasses, mugs, jars) and returnable bottles (e.g. returnable soft drink bottles and beer)
The collection centers are open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting July 1, 2023. Below is the full schedule of the collection drive:
