Problem Statement

Environmental problems such as air pollution, water contamination, and climate change can have significant impacts on human health and well-being. These can increase the risk of diseases and mental health issues, particularly among vulnerable populations such as children, elderly people, and those living in poverty.

TTCB's Role:

Eco-Warriors and the public are informed on the proper method of sorting recyclables starting in their own backyard. This is done in order to ensure that these wastes will be ready to go to the right place. Recyclables are already sorted in order to be ensured of a quick and safe process of exchanging recyclables in their own community’s MBE-C Center.

Meanwhile, through Incentivized Proper waste Management – Materials Recovery Facilities (IPM-MRF) located in Bacolod City which collect Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), we are able to promote the proper disposal of waste at the right place and time in order to ensure a cleaner and greener community for all.

Problem Statement

Decent work and economic growth are essential for sustainable development, but economic activities often contribute to environmental degradation and resource depletion.

Unsustainable production and consumption patterns, industrial pollution, and climate change are among the environmental problems that can affect economic growth and the well-being of workers and communities.

TTCB's Role:

A sustainable circular economy that has a working recyclables exchange program can help promote decent work opportunities for individuals and provide economic growth for local businesses. We are also able to address issues with poverty and inequality, and ultimately, improve environmental sustainability.

Problem Statement

Infrastructure projects, industrial activities, and technological innovations can have significant environmental impacts such as greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation, and water pollution.

TTCB's Role:

We must adapt through innovative technologies and create environmental programs that incorporate environmental considerations while involving all stakeholders in order to achieve sustainability in every community. Practices that minimize environmental impact and resource depletion are necessary in transitioning towards a circular economy.

We are focusing on producers and incorporating sustainable means to retrieve their wastes, especially single-use plastics, used beverage cartons, and other recyclables which are continuously generated. Thus, we are able to recover and reuse these resources by recycling them into new products.

Problem Statement

Environmental problems such as air pollution, water scarcity, and climate change affect the health and well-being of urban populations, disrupt economic activities, and threaten the sustainability of cities and human settlements, particularly in developing countries.

TTCB's Role:

We aim to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable by adopting policies that promote environmental sustainability and implementing a circular economy that will help reduce, reuse, and recycle our wastes.

We must actively involve all stakeholders by taking part in the 5 pillars of sustainability. Our goal is to reduce waste generation, promote sustainable consumption and production, and create a healthy local economy for businesses to thrive in, wherein Eco-Warriors are able to reduce their expenses with points that can be redeemed for groceries and other products.

Problem Statement

Current patterns of consumption and production are unsustainable and contribute to environmental degradation, resource depletion, and climate change. The packaging wastes that are produced by large corporations are frequently found in landfills and bodies of water due to poor waste management practices and the irresponsible throwing of wastes by consumers.

These practices result in large amounts of waste, pollution, and greenhouse gas emissions, which can have significant impact on human health and the environment.

TTCB's Role:

It is essential to promote resource efficiency through proper waste retrieval programs that will help reduce waste and pollution, and ultimately, shift towards a circular economy that supports sustainable production and consumption patterns. This requires the adoption of new policies, regulations, and business models that support sustainable consumption and production, and the engagement of all stakeholders, including governments, businesses, consumers, and other groups involved.

Problem Statement

Our world has been continually experiencing the effects of climate change due to man-made actions and technological advancements. Through continuous generation and consumption of products, as well as irresponsible waste management, we are greatly contributing to the increase in greenhouse gas emissions.

TTCB's Role:

By encouraging segregation at source and exchanging of recyclables, we are able to instill behavioral change in each community. Thus, we are able to minimize waste leakage in bodies of water and increase the lifespan of landfills. Ultimately, we are able to recover recyclables and return these to the loop as new resources or products with a new purpose.

Problem Statement

Environmental problems such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and natural disasters can undermine progress towards sustainable development, especially when pioneers of sustainability operate independently and act without the assistance and financial backing of others.

The Philippines is just one country but we are able to generate huge amounts of waste which pollute numerous rivers and bodies of water. It is an urgent crisis that must be solved with the help of other countries and organizations.

TTCB's Role:

We started at the source by focusing on our primary stakeholders, residents, businesses, establishments, and local government units within each community.

By partnering with well-known companies and local government units, we are able to utilize their reach and directly communicate with their audience in order to raise awareness for the importance of sustainability in our world today. They are able to support our cause through logistical means or financial support, as well as providing incentives for our Eco-Warriors.

Gradually, our partners our making moves with the help of their international counterparts in order to assist our local programs and eventually implement these in their own countries.
